Plain strings are made of high-grade plated high-carbon steel, which is known for its clear and definite timbre. The cores of wound strings are high-quality multi-filament nylon, windings are well-selected aluminum-magnesium alloy and pure silver wire (G string). They feature mellow, elegant treble and richly resonating bass.
