Educational Instruments

Being a professional musical instrument supplier, ArioseMusic offers Melodica, Harmonica, Accordion, Recorder, Roll-up piano for Kids.

Here, we want to talk about some awesome educational instrument options. These are instruments that are easy to learn, and may even allow you to pick up a few skills that could see you tackling those complicated instruments later on. These instruments are great for new learners, for school purchases, or even as a gift for a child.

Melodica

The melodica is a very interesting educational instrument. There are two components to this instrument:

  • A keyboard, much like a piano
  • A mouthpiece, similar to a trumpet

The idea is that as the player blows into the mouthpiece, they will be playing the board in the same way as they would be playing the piano. It makes surprisingly beautiful music.

The loudness of the Melodica is changed based upon how hard the player is blowing into the mouthpiece.

This instrument is fantastic as an educational instrument, because not only will somebody be picking up the skills they need to work with a wind instrument, but they will also be learning some basic piano playing skills. So, they are learning something that is transferable for when they graduate to bigger, more complicated, instruments.

Harmonica

The harmonica is a versatile, and yet affordable, instrument.

As you probably know, the harmonica is a woodwind instrument (i.e. it uses a reed). There are several holes in the harmonica. Blowing into each of these holes will provide a different sound. While the player will need to regulate their breathing a little bit, it won’t be anywhere near as much as with other woodwind instruments. This means it is incredibly easy to start playing.

The brilliant part is that a harmonica is an instrument somebody never really needs to graduate from. A lot of music has the harmonica as a focal point. Bob Dylan and Billy Joel were well-known for their harmonica use. There are tons of harmonicas out there, each in different keys, so somebody can really experiment when they pick up this instrument.

Recorder

Many people dismiss the recorder as a cheap, basic instrument. However, it is anything but. This is a fantastic instrument that is still used in a huge number of orchestral compositions. So, if somebody picks up the recorder, they may find a love for it for the rest of their life.

Children have no issues playing the recorder. They can make sounds from the very first day. This is incredibly encouraging and can set them on the path towards learning more about the instrument.

If somebody does want to graduate from the recorder, then many of the fingering patterns, plus the breathing regulation, can translate quite well to instruments in the woodwind family of instruments.

Roll-Up Piano

A roll-up piano is an affordable way to start learning the piano.

As the name suggests, these instruments roll up when they aren’t being used. Perfect for storage! They will have exactly the same keys like a piano too. This means that it can be a brilliant way to learn the basics of the piano without having to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

There are some major differences between a roll-up piano and a real piano, though. For starters, the sound is going to be digital. This will be very similar to a keyboard. The roll-up piano will also have a completely flat board. No raised keys. This means that other than the sound, it does not feel like you are playing the piano. However, this isn’t really an instrument people will be playing for life. It is more for people to have a bit of fun, or at least try to work out whether a real piano would be a good investment.

As you can see, there are plenty of choices available if you are in the market for an educational instrument. Pick the right one, and the receiver will have a fantastic time learning how to create some amazing music.

ArioseMusic Educational Instruments supplier: The Complete FAQ Melodica

china melodica supplier

The melodica, despite gaining popularity in recent years, is still an instrument that not a lot of people seem to understand. That is why we have put together this FAQ. Whether you want to discover what a melodica is, or whether you are looking for a decent China melodica, all of the information that you need can be found right here

What is Melodica?

A melodica is a wind instrument, albeit one with a very small twist.

The note board of the melodica looks exactly like a piano. It feels like it too. The keys are in exactly the same place that they would be if you played the piano. In fact, it is so similar that many people can make the jump from piano to melodica without any issues.

melodica packing

The melodica’s keyboard won’t make a single sound unless you blow into the mouthpiece, though. This mouthpiece is very similar to blowing a recorder, or even a trumpet. However, you don’t have to pay attention to the regulation of your breathing all that much. The harder you breathe, the louder the melodica gets. The softer your breathing, the quieter. So, while you are tapping away on the piano-style keys, you can add a real dynamic to your music.

What Are The Different Types of Melodica?

Melodicas are available in a few different shapes and sizes. The shape and size will determine what the melodica sounds like. This means the range of tones that they have i.e. whether it produces a high-pitched or a low-pitched sound. If you are getting started with the instrument, then we recommend that you start with either an alto or tenor melodica. These are the types available:

  • Bass melodica: these melodicas will have the deepest bass sound possible.
  • Tenor melodicas: most melodicas will be tenor melodicas. They have a lower-pitched sound that can easily fit into most types of music.
  • Soprano melodica: this type of melodica can hit the high-pitch notes well.
  • Alto melodica: these melodicas are also high-pitched. However, they are ever so slightly lower than a soprano.

What is a Melodica Made Of?

Melodicas can be made from a variety of different materials. If you purchase a China melodica or something down the lower end of the market, then it is likely that you will be purchasing a plastic melodica.

Plastic Melodica

As you start to dive into the more expensive melodica options, you are more likely to find them made from metal or wood.

Melodica inner material

The material the melodica is made of will have a massive impact on the tone that it produces, although this is probably not going to matter that much to somebody just getting started with the instrument.

The Top and the Best Melodica Manufacturers

There are several different major manufacturers of melodica out there.

Yamaha is often regarded as one of the better manufacturers. This makes sense. After all, Yamaha is well known for producing some amazing pianos. This instrument is just a small extension of that.

Next up is Suzuki. You will find many pros playing a Suzuki instrument.

You can’t really go far wrong with a Hohner melodica, though. This company invented the instrument back in the 50s, so it makes sense that they make the best melodicas. They aren’t cheap, but they are always going to offer the best possible sound.

How Do I Choose a Melodica?

There are several things that you will need to think about when you are choosing your melodica.

Perhaps your biggest decision will be how much you want to spend on a melódica. Some of them can be as cheap as $10, and they can go all the way up to $700+. Obviously, the more you spend on the melodica, the better it will sound.

If you are just getting started with melodica, then choose an alto or tenor melodica. If you are purchasing a cheap melodica, then it will likely be a tenor.

Ideally, the melodica that you choose will cover three octaves. Cheaper melodicas will cover only two. This means that you have less of a range when you are playing your music.

Don’t forget to pay attention to the material used too. Cheap melodicas will be made from plastic. However, if you want the best sounding melodicas on the market, you need to go for wood.

Which Chinese Melodica Manufacturer Can You Trust?

Here in China, no other melodica manufacturer is trusted and more relied on than us at Ariose Music.

Having more than a decade of experience, we will never fail to produce the melodica you need. Whether you need any type of melodicas, we got you!

ArioseMusic Educational Instruments supplier: The Complete FAQ Accordion

kids' Button Accordion

The accordion is a tremendous instrument to learn. In recent years, it has become easier to find kids’ accordion. This is because it is simple to make sound from, but can produce some beautiful music. On this page, we want to answer some of the most burning questions that people have about accordions.

What is an Accordion?

The accordion is a unique instrument. It is a wind instrument, although it doesn’t involve the user blowing into the accordion at all.

The accordion is based around the idea of bellows. As the bellows (the part in the middle of the instrument) are moved, the air is drawn into them. This will cause a series of reeds to vibrate, and that in turn will make a sound.

It isn’t enough to just move the bellows around, though. There will be a small keyboard attached to the accordion. This will look very, very similar to a piano. Playing the notes on the keyboard will allow the note and tone of the accordion to change. It works very similarly to a melodica, but with an accordion, you have a lot more control over the sound.

Different Types of Accordion

There are a lot of different types of accordion out there. However, there are only two that you will bump into frequently, particularly if you are looking for a kids accordion.

The more traditional type of accordion will be the piano key accordion. We mentioned this one earlier. There will be piano keys on the accordion. As you press them, the sound of the accordion will change.

You also have accordions with simple buttons on them. Each button will correspond to a slightly different note. These ones are becoming less and less common, particularly down the lower end of the market.

Various accordions may cover different note ranges, so always do your research when you are picking one up.

What is an Accordion Made Of?

The accordion isn’t made of just one material. It is an incredibly complicated instrument. While the majority of what you see is likely to be made of wood, perhaps with a bit of plastic on it. The interior of the accordion can be made of metal (for the reeds), cloth, leather, and even cardboard. In fact, the bellows will be made from a type of very strong cardboard.

The Best and Top Accordion Manufacturers

If you want to buy one of the best accordions possible, then you should be going down the route of Hohner. Their instruments are not cheap, but they are going to be performance-level accordions. If a famous band uses an accordion, then chances are pretty high that it will be a Hohner.

Weltmeister is an accordion manufacturer that has been building them since the 19th Century. They know what they are doing. Many of their accordions are made in Germany, which is where the instrument originates from.

D’Luca also has some fantastic options available both for adults and for those looking for a kids accordion. They may not be as popular as the other two brands, but they will always build solid instruments.

If you want to be your melodica sellers online or importer, here in china, ArioseMusic company will be your right choice, ArioseMusic offer Brand accordion, custom accordion, small MOQ.

How Do I Choose an Accordion?

If you are buying an accordion for the first time, particularly a kids accordion, then there are a few things you need to think about. This is on top of considering how much you want to spend on an accordion. Their price can range from $30 for something basic, all the way up to $600. We are taking the view that you will be choosing an accordion for a beginner here.

Piano key accordions are probably the route to go down for most people. It offers a great transferable skill if somebody doesn’t gel with the accordion but still loves playing music. These options can often be a bit cheaper too, at least if you are opting for something of quality.

For a child, you will want to choose an accordion that is classed as either 24 bass or 32 basses (this is about the number of keys that they have). This number of keys should give your child a decent range of notes without the accordion being too heavy. If your child is very young, then opt for a 12 bass. These are tiny, but you should probably bear in mind that these are nothing more than toys.

The more reeds inside of the accordion, the more dynamic the music sound. While some accordions can have 5 reeds, for a beginner, you shouldn’t really be opting for anything more than just 2 reeds. Things get a bit too complicated and heavy beyond this.

Other than this, read reviews and stick to a decent accordion manufacturer. It means your child will have a greater chance of ending up with a kid’s accordion that they really love to play.
